LANCET BOTSWANA is an ultramodern laboratory that has been part of the Lancet group of Laboratories since 2001. The industry leading Lancet Group of Laboratories was founded over 60 years ago in South Africa and now  has a presence in more than 14 countries across Africa.

Lancet Botswana operates two laboratories, the main one at Gaborone Private Hospital and a branch in Francistown. There is also a strategic branch network throughout Gaborone’s shopping malls, with the main mall housing the Government enclave and the National Museum.

Lancet Botswana is a SANAS  ISO  15189 accredited laboratory and offers its services directly to patients and their doctors/clinical groups, referral service to support other laboratories, clinics, hospitals; and a wide array of clientele from corporate groups, NGOs, insurance companies, universities and research teams, and occupational health establishments.

With over 3800 tests offered, it provides a range of routine, specialised and referral services, which are amongst the most extensive offered on the continent. Lancet Botswana services an average of 4,200 patients per month and conducts on average 25,000 tests per month.

Quality of testing and and excellence in service are what we strive for in order to assist in delivering the best patient care. The services are overseen by more than 90 specialist pathologists and 3500 technical and administrative personnel in the Lancet Group.
